Research Interests
Dr. Shi’s group was among the first to discover the tumor-suppressive role of a translation initiation factor, eIF3f, in pancreatic cancer.
Our current project focuses on understanding the epigenetic regulations in pancreatic cancer progression with a goal of identifying novel therapeutic targets.
Specific areas of interest in our lab:
how histone modification enzymes modulate pancreatic cancer cell plasticity, tumor microenvironment, and metastasis.
exploring novel diagnostic markers for the early detection of pancreatic cancer.
the role of checkpoint inhibitors in the KMT2D deficient
pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma, tumor microenvironment.
